Used For:Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma and relief of allergic rhinitis in children aged 2 to 5 years.

How it Works:Blocks the action of leukotrienes, which are inflammatory chemicals that cause narrowing of airways and other asthma/allergy symptoms.

Usage & Safety Dosage:4 mg once daily in the evening. Mix the entire sachet contents with a small amount of soft food (e.g., applesauce) or directly into the mouth. Do not mix with liquid.

Side Effects:Headache, abdominal pain, thirst, and dizziness. Rare reports of mood/behavior changes.

Drug Interactions:Phenobarbital and Rifampin may decrease Montelukast levels. Consult your doctor if combining with other asthma medications.
