How it Works: A selective antagonist of histamine H1-receptors, it blocks the action of histamine — the substance responsible for allergy symptoms — without causing significant sedation.
Usage & Safety Dosage: 10 mg (1 tablet) once daily. Dosage may be adjusted for patients with impaired kidney function.
Side Effects: Drowsiness (less common than first-generation antihistamines), dry mouth, fatigue, and dizziness.
